Carefree attitude to skin cancer
A recent press release has just highlighted the carefree attitude of younger people towards skin cancer. The summary points are [1] Young people don’t care about skin cancer, believing they are not at risk. [2] More than one in ten of us would delay getting a mole checked believing it too trivial to consult our GP [3] British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) stress the importance of early diagnosis in successfully treating skin cancer and minimising scarring.
