Motiva Implants are available in Brighton through Paul Banwell – a leading UK cosmetic surgeon who is officially Motiva approved.
Paul works closely with Motiva and is a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for them, indeed his level of knowledge is such that he helps to train the next generation of plastic surgeons in cosmetic surgery.
From his Brighton Nuffield clinic – one of several clinics across the south of England – Paul specialises in Motiva Implants, indeed these are the only breast implants he uses at this clinic and his other clinics such as London.
Developed by Establishment Labs and the result of decades of experience and research, Motiva breast implants have major advantages over all rival products – these advantages both in terms of appearance, longevity and also safety of the implants.
Motiva’s implants have emerged as the markets-leading product, this because they offer the best results aesthetically, they can be inserted without visible scarring and they also have unique safety features.
Motiva Implants are the latest generation of implants, what is known as sixth generation implants.
In real terms, this means the implants build on all previous knowledge and create implants that retain shape and feel for longer, with advantages both to look and feel. They help skilled cosmetic surgeons achieve the desired-for results; results that are a clear enhancement yet also natural looking.
Motiva’s implants use their own Smoothsilk technology, this creates a look that is smooth and natural. There are two different Motiva products – Motiva Ergonomix and Motiva Round – both offered by Paul in his Brighton practice.
The difference between the two is subtle, but they allow a skilled surgeon the ability to choose the product that is best suited to the individual patient’s body type and desired results. As a Motiva Key Opinion Leader, nobody in the Hove region is better placed to make that decision than Paul.
With Motiva, it is also possible to see the results before any surgery is undertaken, this because state of the art 3D scanning technology creates an image of how anyone considering a breast augmentation would look post surgery. Gone are the days of discussing results without a clear image of what they will actually look like – there is now the ability for patient and surgeon to discuss results with the aid of a visual representation.
These images can also be a shared with a patient’s friends family or partner should they so wish, this enabling them to get the opinions of trusted friends and confidants – what do they think of the potential results?
Paul uses the Crisalix 3D scanning as part of his consultation. Rather than simply talking about great results and how beneficial and life enhancing they will be, the patient can see the results and so make a truly informed decision.
Motiva Implants also lead to no visible scarring – this because they can be inserted via a small incision in the armpit region, this only possible because of their greater elasticity and shape retention.
Safety Features
In time, Motiva Implants are sure to become the go-to implants for all leading surgeons in Brighton and beyond – they are already trusted by hundreds of thousands of women around the world.
They have warranties that are unmatched, the Always Confident Warranty that covers against rupture and a Product Replacement Policy against Baker Grades III and IV of capsular contracture for a period of 10 years.
Paul Banwell also provides all breast surgery and augmentation patients with a lifelong follow-up policy, this an offer not provided by other surgeons.
Motiva’s Implants have a complication rate of less than 1%, this is because of the Smoothsilk technology which has benefits that relate to safety as well as appearance.
Smoothsilk is a unique biocompatible surface, designed to minimise irritation and inflammation in the breasts and wider area. The body is far less likely to have a negative reaction such as inflammation or infection, the technology ensures the implant is not seen as a ‘foreign body’, a common problem with other implants, especially previous generations.
Motiva Implants also have a unique BluSeal – this is a subtle blue pigmentation, only visible prior to surgery, that enables the surgeon to easily check the integrity of the implant. If the implant has any micro tears or imperfections, this BluSeal would be affected, it would be obvious to them that the implant was faulty.
Imperfections in all implants are of course rare, the benefit of BluSeal is that it makes those rare problems easy to spot, the surgeon can immediately discard the flawed product.
An optional safety feature is the Qid/Q Inside Safety Technology – this a micro transponder system that allows patients and doctors to verify safety information at any time in a non-invasive way.

A constituent part of Brighton and Hove, Brighton is the 44th largest town or city in the UK with a population of 290,000 as of the 2011 census.
A popular seaside location for tourists for generations, and one that has retained its appeal through the decades, Brighton gained city status in 2000. Every year, it receives around 8 million day visitors and close to 5 million overnight stays, much of the local economy in Brighton and beyond in Sussex naturally centred on this trade.
Brighton’s first appearance is in the Doomsday Book, under the name of Bristelmestune, the name Brighton itself not appearing until 1660. London by the Sea is a common nickname, while the poet Horace Smith once called the area “The Queen of Watering Places” – this a term many believe to still be very fitting.
Brighton is indeed thought of as a superb place to live – accepting, liberal and friendly. It has regularly been named the best place to live in the UK.
There are of course many famous residents, these including Raymond Briggs (who taught at Brighton College), John Constable, Chris Eubank, Graham Greene, Nigel Kennedy, Leo Sayer and Fred Perry.
My care was efficient and effective, the office staff were excellent and the clinic clean. Mr Banwell did a very good job under difficult circumstances given the length of time the BCC had been there. I would definitely recommend Mr Banwell.
I was kept well informed and thought it was excellent to see Mr Banwell before surgery, during recovery and afterwards to hear all went well. It was something that caused me discomfort and sensitivity and now I feel much happier not only with the appearance but more importantly it is much more comfortable for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Banwell to my friends, he is truly professional yet has a nice relaxed manner which puts you at ease.
Mr Banwell explained to me exactly what he was going to do and made me feel at ease. The team were all friendly and made me feel very comfortable in the hospital. The scar on my forehead healed very quickly and I have full movement and feeling of my eyebrow. I would recommend Mr Banwell and his team because of the high standard of professional and personal care given to me.
The end result I have is amazing and completely natural.
I asked around and was told that Mr Banwell was the best in his field. I don’t know what my expectations were but the result was great, all my friends think my eyes look brighter and more open. I had no bruising which I was told I might have. Mr Banwell and his team excelled in making my life very easy for me, with arrangements and liaising with the hospital which didn’t always have my details correct, they were very helpful and answered all my questions, nothing was too much trouble. Mr Banwell put me at ease and I was not worried about the operation at all.
Dear Mr Banwell I am writing to thank you, Kim and the rest of the lovely staff at the McIndoe. I was very nervous when I first met you, about having surgery but realised that it was a necessary evil. I need not have been worried, as from our initial consultation to surgery to full recovery, you have all been amazing. You have changed my life – for the first time ever I have had some photos taken of me and my children. I stand taller and feel so much happier with life. I have even started my own business. I never realised that it would have had such a profound effect – and it didn’t hurt!! Thank you again. I wish you and your team lots of health, luck and happiness.
